The SUFNC Female Football Program is all about building a strong, supportive, and inclusive pathway for girls and women to thrive in Aussie Rules. From our passionate Youth Girls to our competitive Women’s Team, we’re focused on developing skills, confidence, and connection—while proudly representing the Demons spirit on and off the field.
Both our Women’s Team and Youth Girls are coming off an incredible 2024 season that saw both squads reach the Grand Final. While they fell just short of the ultimate prize, the hunger to go one better in 2025 is stronger than ever—and it’s showing.
The Women’s Team is off to a dream start this season, notching up wins in the first two rounds. The team’s depth and unity are on full display, with 9 individual goal kickers in Round 2 alone—including 4 first-time goal scorers for the club. A powerful sign of what’s to come.
Our Youth Girls continue to show the true “never say Demons” spirit. Despite early season setbacks with player numbers and a Round 1 forfeit, they’ve kept their heads high and continue to show fight and resilience. With their strong work ethic and belief, we know they’ll be back on the winners list soon.
The program was recently boosted by a Values Session led by Trent Suratman, SUFNC’s Mindset & Performance Coach—helping build strong team culture, clarity, and connection across the playing group.
🎉 Get ready for a huge night under lights at Deakin Reserve on Friday 9th May, as both teams take on Barooga in what’s set to be an exciting Round 5 clash:
