COMING SOON: Senior Boys Reversible Training Tops
We’re proud to announce a meaningful addition to our 2025 apparel lineup — new reversible training tops for our Senior, Development, and Thirds footballers, arriving soon!
These tops represent more than just our club colours.
Last season, we were honoured to have Senior Constable Leigh Johnson from Shepparton Police and Sharon O’Dwyer, United’s treasurer, speak to the playing group about the importance of road safety — a message that touched the club deeply.
Sharon’s son, Matthew O’Dwyer, tragically lost his life in a single-vehicle accident in 2021 at just 26 years old. A passionate supporter of country sport, Matthew was actively involved with Shepparton United, Waaia, and Nathalia football and netball clubs. His passing was a heartbreaking reminder of how precious and vulnerable life is on our regional roads.
Unfortunately, this message hits close to home for others in our community too. Just last year, our very own senior footballer Jeremy Ryan was involved in a serious car accident while travelling to Rochester to play. After a long recovery, Jeremy has made the inspiring decision to return to the club in a new role as United’s trainer for Season 2025. He credits Amber Community for supporting him through his recovery and encourages anyone in need of help to reach out to them.
Thanks to a generous TAC (Transport Accident Commission) grant, we have proudly partnered with Amber Community, a local not-for-profit that provides counselling, education, and support to those impacted by road trauma. As a tribute and constant reminder, Amber Community’s logo will be featured on our new training tops, along with NEOCLO who designed and manufactured the tops.
This initiative is about much more than uniforms. It’s about starting conversations, honouring the memory of those we have lost, and promoting the message to slow down, drive safely, and take care for ourselves, our mates, and our community.
Look out for our boys at training soon!
