As soon as you step into the clubrooms, you should be able to recognise – and be part of – the positive, supportive culture being built at United.
Recognising the importance of football clubs in communities like ours, United has chosen to strongly emphasise the importance of wellbeing and culture as a key point of difference. The club is aiming to have just as much success off-field as on – by providing amazing levels of support for players, staff and supporters led by our Wellbeing and Culture team.
Trainers are available at the club every Tuesday & Thursday from 5:15pm to 6:30pm for taping, injury advice, and general support for all football and netball players!
We are lucky to have the great Dean Pritchett “Gubba” returning as Head Trainer, along with Jeremy Ryan – many will know him from playing in the development squad & after a a long recovery from a car accident on his way to playing football last year – he has decided to give his time as a trainer. We are so fortunate!
Gina Sozzi will assist during home games, and Leitya Ennis (our superstar netballer) will be helping out with the netballers. The fabulous Siv Onley will assist when she can, and Nat & Lee Mathers will continue supporting our youth girls’ football team. We thank you all for your dedication to care for our players.
The Wellbeing program is led through the extraordinary contribution of Nicole Lewis, who is the club medical coordinator and oversees the Rehabilitation Program along with GV Physio Group and assists players with coordinating scans and appointments. Trent Suratman, the club development and mindset officer, also works alongside Nicole and GV Physio with players development & mindset officer. Trent can you see at training, or you can contact him for one-on-one appointments.
Ellie Mifka, our new club physiotherapist (also working at GV Physio), will be at the club every Tuesday from 5:30 to 6:30 pm for brief injury physio assessments.
GV Physio Sessions are Monday from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. If you need an appointment, please contact Nicole.
